InspirationSeeking Inspirations from the simple things in life 2007/1/31 HumTum Forever :) Destiny...a small word...but has so much to it! One year back in Jan 2006, it was destined that HumTum met eachother...became best friends, fell in Love and knew they were soulmates! At this point of time when we look back at the journey we made together, its been full of Lovely and beautiful memories, we did have moments of sadness but they didnt last long as HumTum believe in moments and live in moments and make the best of them. One whole year has gone by and it feels like it was just yesterday that HumTum met for the first time or it feels like its been ages since we knew eachother! We have been through everything together...from the smallest of things like discussing a movie to things like travelling thousands of miles to meet eachother, we have made everything possible together and ofcourse with God's blessings. Its all been so magical yet it was happening in reality, many not so good incidents happened alongway but that did not break the trust or love we have for eachother, the understanding has always been there and will always be no matter what come may HumTum hands in hands will face anything together and still be so much in Love. Now we look forward to a great future with eachother with God's grace and we promise to keep spreading smiles :) all through the way! 'India Calling'
My country..my India..it may not be my motherland..but it is the land where I was raised, where I spoke my first words, where I took my first steps, had my first laughter, learnt to smile, fell in love, felt my heart break, learnt lessons of life, saw the meaning of friendship and found my true love, my soulmate! Bharat maa has been much more than a mother to me….it has been my world, my universe, my jannat!!
These words are coming from a guy who said the following words to his lecturer when 3 years ago he left India: “I wouldn’t want to settle in India..perhaps just go on holidays”. This very same person, now wants to come back as soon as he can, the only things keeping him are the shackles of purpose and duty that he came to fulfil here..but these shackles wont last for long! India calling…
I’ve always written something that will tell my friends the meaning and importance of things in life..and now I try the very same and pray to God that I am successful in my efforts. Majority of us jump at the name of Paris, Madrid, NewYork, Sydney…. would be ready to grab any opportunity to leave India and come and enjoy the western life. Life of masti. Life of good money. Life filled with comforts. Well friends, nothing wrong there..infact I promise you all the very same…but there is a cost..give up your happiness, family life, peace, and many a things that our country has bestowed upon us as a blessing, as a heritage, as a gift that we take for granted…well believe me my dears, It is NOT for granted. You may get divinely posh food there, but what good is it if all members of family cant eat on the same table at the same time?? Would you rather have a tv in each room or a single one where all family can sit and watch Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham! These worldly comforts mean nothing my friends if you don’t have the internal peace and satisfaction. And travel one shall throughout the world..but thou shalt only find it in one place..my India!
The beauty of this country in incomparable. Yes we might have our problems..So what if the power goes off at times..but aren’t those family antaakshari games under a candle, or the moon light romance of lovers on the terrace, or the time where neighbours come out and have a get together and light hearted chat cause there is no tv.. worth those cuts!!
So what if we have dirty streets, or cockroaches…you know what..i would give anything to see a cockroach so that I could go running into my papa’s arms. We have illiteracy, poverty, but great souls trying their level best to help them. And if we wont help our nation then who will?? If anyone wants to see a true desh bhakt movie..go and watch Swades…hear the song yeh taara woh taara! Speaks of the unity of our nation. We may fight, might have our quarrels, might have religious riots, but come and India Pakistan match and we all shall unite in front of a 14inch television at a local paan waala or barber and cheer unitedly! Aren’t those moments to die for!! Our country has its problems but we learn to rock life in India much more than anyone can imagine!!! We are happy being what we are, enjoying togetherness than the location, the problems or anything else.
That simple happiness of running around in your pajama in the morning.. Playing cricket in your baniyan.. soaking in the rain.. coming home to your wife’s welcoming smell of dinner.. the daily chai sessions with dada daadi, chacha chaachi..every month’s festivals, mele, decorations…………………the list goes on and on.. Never forget your roots my friends..apna desh hi apna hota hai…It has done a lot for us..it is in us...a part of us, part of who we are and who we will be..it will always reflect in us. Try and give something back to our great nation. Our Bharat maa demands nothing for itself but to take care of her children. You don’t have to become a soldier and defend its borders to prove your worth and love…simple deeds, good deeds, helping deeds for our country men will go a long way to making us the true children of mother India! Everything is my India, it is a great country to be born in, to live in, to be raised in. I may not be an Indian, but I’m proud to be a Hindustaani by heart!
Choone ko mann yeh chahta hai, Tujhme dil mera basta hai, Woh sugandh naa mere jism se kabhi hat payi, Mera Bharat..mera desh dil ko mere bulata hai!!
Teri hawaaon ki, fizaon ki kuch baat hi niraali, Teri maati me uge fal ka ras hi alag hai. Saari duniya main ghooma, logo ko maine jaana, Par duniya ho chaahe ek taraf..mera Bharat hi mera jag hai!
Teri subah ki khushbu ko main kaise bhoolu, Chidiyon ki muskurati chehak se hota jahan sabka savera hai, Ghar ke paraathon ki khushbu mann ko lubhaati jaati, Sache parivar..ghar aur sansaar kaa mere Bharat me hi to basera hai!
Karam bhare hote hai din sabke, Mehnet kar insaan mann ki shaanti pata hai, Thak haar jeevan ke kartavya poore kar sab ghar ko aate, Yeh desh mera Bharat hai..jahan sabka pyaar bhara saath ek makan ko ghar banata hai!
Sooraj dhalta..sheetalta chaati chaaro ore, Madhur madhur taano par koyal nindiya aur shyaam ke geet sunaati, Din bhar ki vyast ta bhool jaate, ek doosre ki muskaan pa mann ko thandak hai aati, Sukh me dukh me sang rahe..mere Bharat ke sanskar ki khushbu tanman ko jagati!!
Bacho ka chehkta hua chehra, unki maasumiyat dil ko chu jaati, Kathin din ki pareshaniyan, apne jeevan saathi ki sparsh se muskaan hai laati, Jo ek pal waada kiya saath nibhaane ka, Mere Bharat me, janmo janmo ki prem kahaniyan sach ho jaati!
Devi devtao ka yahan hai basera, Har mausam chaata tyohaaro kaa mela, Sang laate apne khushi ke rang, bichdo ka saath, nayi purani yaadon ka tarana, Mere Bharat me ghar, ghar nahi hai..jab tak unme na ho bachon ki uchal kood aur jhamela!!
Maa ki godd me hi sukoon hai milta, Baap ke kandho par, ungli thaam jeevan ki masti ka Anand. Bhai behen ke rishte ki pavitrate ke yahaan gun gaaye jaate, Dada dadi ki lorri bina hum chain se kahan so paate, Bharat ke saas bahu ka jhagda hi sahi, Lekin unke bina hum bhi kahan jeevan ke maze ka anand le paate!!
Har mausam ki rangineeya yahan, Kisaan ki mehnet kaa fal, har fasal ko mere Bharat me lehraata, Mere desh ki kudiyon ki saadgi aur unki aadaon par, Kis Kavi ke bol..kis Kalakaar ki tasvir..kis Gayak ke sur..kis Aashiq ka mann madhosh naa ho jaata!!
Basant patango ki udaan laata, bacho ki masti budhon ke dil me armaan aur muskaan lata, Diwali patakho ki roshni se chamakti, holi me is sama par gulaal hai chaata, Har tyohaar ki apni khoobi, naye naye pakwaan mooh me paani laate, Shaam ki puja aur mandiro ki ghantiya, Shradha suman se bache-bade devi devtao ko hai sajaate!
Sachin, sehwag, dhoni ke balle par poore Bharatr ki nazre ghoomti, Har dost, har dushman, har bichdo ko bhi yeh khel..saath le aata! Dhoom dhamake se guunj jaati hai yeh duniya, Jab har chauke par har desh waasi taaliyaan bajaata!!!
Mere Bharat ka Cinema to hai har mann ko bhata, Chahe bachha ho ya jawan, buudha ya har koi insaan, Har gaane aur scene par hai wo seeti bajata, Jisme ho Madhuri ke jhatke ya ho hassta gaata Salman!!
Bado kaa aadar mann se hum karte, Sachai aur vishwas ka paath hamhe sikhata hai bacha bacha yahaan. Desh bhakti ke kisse duniyan hamare jaanti, Ma baap ke balidaano se banti hai hamari neev, Kar dikhata hai har Bharat waasi sachi yeh baat..ki mera Bharat mahan!!
Sapno ka desh hai yeh Bharat mera, Pyaar, vishwas, sachai..hum mei isne koot koot kar bhari hai, Maana ki vikaas kai poorab desho me hua hai, Par mere bharat ki susheelta se hi to yeh dharti saji hai!!
Hasi ka mehetva, rone me dilaasa, pyaar ki mehek aur vishwas ki pukar, Sab..haan sab isi desh me dekha isi desh me maine paaya. Har woh khushi har woh gam jo mila mujhe, Maa baap ke pyaar sang, rehta hai Bharat ma ke pyaar ka kavach rupi rang!!
Himalaya jis Desh ka mukut, Ganga Jamuna jahan par hai behti, Us Bharat ki daastan..jeevan bhar likhta raho to bhi nahi ho sakti khatam. Mere prabhu..gar nek kaam kiye is jeevan me maine..to ashirvaad yeh dena, Is Desh me..mere Bharat me..mere India me hi ho har janam mei mera janam!!
2006/2/24 'Never say Never' --- 'Kabhi Alvida na Kehna''Never Say Never'
“I’m never going to do this mistake again”, “I’ll never talk to him again”, “I’ll never go there again”, “No way….i’m never eating that again”, “Oh my experience was horrible..i’m not going through all this again…” etc. etc. How many times have we let the past dominate our present and our future? One bad experience, one misunderstanding, one bad deed..we let them rule our life, our thoughts, our actions and behaviour, our dealings with people, this world. One betrayal of trust makes us doubt everyone, one heart break..makes us lose faith in love itself?? The message which my heart wants to give you my friends is NEVER say NEVER…don’t you ever stop believing!!
Don’t focus your life on one event or person and always…always see the bigger picture, life itself!! Live life for many lives live you….yes some events may happen which may force you to think differently, for at those moments life will be surrounded by darkness and the things you believe in might seem meaningless…but don’t..dont stop living, for many others, which you mightn’t have thought of in the near future or perhaps for a long time, do exist who live to see a smile on your face. Believe in your dreams ad don’t lose faith. We want things to turn out in a certain way, but they don’t..know that there is a reason. Yes, of course it hurts…but think that if it was not meant to be and you found this out at the end that your dreams could’ve perhaps be realised in the way you desired, how would you feel? Think of it this way…God has a plan..and things will work out!
Have faith and be positive towards life. Happiness can’t be absolute. The happiness of a lottery winner is not even comparable to the guy who after years of coma can walk again. Similarly sadness cant be absolute…not knowing where your loved one is for years is much worse than death itself! So when nothing in this world is absolute..why should we ever live in absolute?? Why the word “never”!! Always be ready to give life a chance..destiny will take its course..make sure my friend, you are ready…!!
Maloom hai ki kabhi padega zindagi me rona, Par kabhi galti se bhi muskurana naa chodo. Sach hai ki zindagi ke pal beetate jayenge, Par har pal ko yaadgar banana naa chodo!!
Nahi rakh sakte kisi cheez ko sada apna, Chaahe kitna hi mutthi ko band karlo. Lekin jab jo hona hai so hona hai.. Kyu naa uske saath palo ko dil me fir kaid kar lo!!
Kuch pal honge jaroor, jab sannata chaaro taraf hoga, Lekin zindagi ki dhun par taal bajana naa chodo. Samay aayega aisa jab dukho ke saamne kuch naa bolte banega, Isiliye kabhi khushi ke geet gungunana naa chodo!!
Har dosti, har pyaar hamesha kaa kabhi kabhi nahi ho pata, Isiliye bhoolkar bhi kisi rishtey ko naa mat bolo. Nahi maloom kab sacha pyaar dil par dastak de, Dil ke darvaze ko kholne ka kabhi bhi mauka naa chodo.
Nahi samajh me aata ki aakhir kyu aate hain kuch log jeevan me hamare, Lekin woh kabhi chale jayenge…yeh sochkar naata na todo. Kyunki jab hamare haatho me nahi hai zindagi ki dor, Chaahe palbhar ki hi sahi, kyu us khushi se tum mooh modo??
Jaisa chahte hai hum, nahi waisa hamesha mil paata hamhe, Lekin chaahat hi jeevan hai, is baat ko kabhi naa bhoolao. Der-savair chaahe kitni lage, baadal cha jaaye har taraf.. Kabhi bhi..haan kabhi bhi apne vishwas par se vishwas naa uthao!!!
Manzil kabhi kabhi ho jaati hai bahut pyaari, Lekin usse pakar jo kuch choot gaya hai, uske dukh ko kyu tum saho.. Zindagi ka safar, uske saathi bhi utna hi hai zaroori.. Kyu naa yeh baat jaan, apni manzil ke saath dil, pyaar, vishwas aur zindagi ko tum jeeto?? Mehnet karte hai hum kinhi ki khushi ke liye, Lekin aisi khushi kya, jiske pal hi tum unke saath naa baant sako? Jinki ek muskaan ke liye khoon paseena ek karte hai, Kya zindagi jab us muskaan ki thandak ko hi naa mehsoos kar sako?? Ho jaati galtiyaan sabhi se, kabhi kabhi baar baar bhi, Fir bhi mauka dekar sudhaarne kaa mauka jaroor do. Pyaar aur dosti kaa yeh sandesh dilo ko jeet hai leta .. Kya pata tumhare diye ek mauke se kiske jeevan kaa kalyaan ho?
Zindagi ek safar hai yaaro, kabhi kisi se rusvaa naa karo, Gar hai pyaar kisi se, ruko naa...bas keh do! Bair rakh kar kisi se kya mil jaana hai... Kyun naa dosti kar doosri ke sang ek muskaan, ek zindagi baanto!!
Kitna hi tum koshish karlo, Naa thamega naa rukega ye samma.. Mutthi ko chaahe kitnaa bheecho.. Fisalta jaayega har pal yeh lamha!
Jiyo..jeete raho..ek yaadgar dil me basao, Jeevan ke kai mod hai, kabhi sukh to kabhi dukh hai.. Unme bhi..un pallo ko cheen lo.. Har aasoon me bhi ek hasi dhoondh lo!!
Sabr rakhna tum..vishwas apne sapno par, Mushkile aayengi to haan kadam dagmagayenge.. Kabhi kabhi niraasha kaa daaman gherne ki koshish karega.. Lekin mann mei ho sachai..to nazre utha kar dekho..usme aasha ke taare jagmagayenge!!
Naa rokna apne mann ko kabhi, yeh duniya..tumhari hai, Apne sapno se hai isko tumne sajaana, apne bal par isse hai jeetnaa! Maana ki kathinayia todne ki tumhe koshish karengi,.. Life is an amazing adventure, with its ups and downs, smiles and frowns, laughter n tears, music and silence…all these are but moments of life. It also comes down to us, of how we choose to live those moments. With the ups in life, the heart smiles, is cheered up and there is nothing that we feel we can achieve. But with the downs come the frowns.., despair and a feeling of desiring, sadness, and lost hope!
However, like we said life is but an adventure, there is an intervening period between this happiness, sorrow and then happiness again. When in the most desperate of moments, nothing seeming clear, the heart stops answering questions and mind asking us to be practical in dealing with the situation but something inside us telling us to keep hoping..keep believing, that something will come along and push this darkness away, sweep away the sorrow, the cool breeze will dissolve the tears..
We choose to believe that feeling no matter what the mind says. This, my friends is the internal beauty of us human beings. No matter how cruel, unkind or selfish mankind may have become, but the spirit of hope lies within us forever. We may think that we don’t have faith anymore, but believe this from the hearts of HumTum..it is..somwhere in a special corner of your heart which you temporarily choose to ignore..it lies..waiting..waiting for that moment when the angel of hope will come. It is then, that part of your heart will eject out waves of happiness, of belonging, of seeking someone..our entire system seems to be filled with that hope. For the non-believers it is a weird yet amazing feeling and for the dreamers it is a sign of faith!!
HumTum calls this feeling, when that ray of hope touches us in the hour of darkness in an attempt to pull us away in to the sunshine of happiness, as “Touched by an angel”!! At that moment the heart feels light, surroundings sing to us, the soul speaks out loudly and the heart beats wider than ever..which Hum (Arjun)calls “Life is rocking”!!
At this moment we feel scared, after being in sorrow for a while, and in process of losing hope we began to infact fear happiness, and the feeling of belonging seems so wonderful that we think it as unbelievable. The message of our poem is to say that it is very much believable and also that when such a moment comes along, don’t let the past sorrows and worries get in your way. Grab it!! Believe on that one feeling that your heart tells you and LIVE LIFE with your saathi!!

To my single friends……
Love is like a butterfly.. The more you chase it the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it will come back to you when you least expect it, just learn to believe and have faith in your dreams!
Love can make you happy but often it hurts, but remember love is only special when you give it to someone who is really worth it. Everyone deserves your love, but this kind of one..only a chosen special.
So take your time and choose best.. when the moment and the heart agree!
To my not so single friends……
Love isn’t about becoming someone else’s “perfect person”… Its about finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be!!

The true measure of compatibility is not how many years you’ve spent together but how good you are for each other..!!

Life and its dreams… From the laziest of beggars to the richest of kings, from the hearts of lovers to even the wicked souls, from the solitude of old couples to the crushes of teenagers, from the experiences of parents to the mischief’s of kids. All of us have our dreams.
Some more important than others, as there are some dreams which we see and hope for during the course of our life, and others, that we base our life around. It ranges from being the richest man on the planet to promoting world peace, from reaching a goal for oneself to living for others.. And sometimes-simpler things as just living life with those you love. As Shakespeare once put it, Life is a stage.. Yes indeed, in course of our life, in moving towards our destiny, we encounter several such players, some who play a role of few hours to some who shape our paths.
Believe me when I say this, each soul that enters our life to play a role is important and has a definite purpose that must be served for us to reach our manzil. Thing is we don’t know how long this saath is going to last, so all I will say is live every moment of this wonderful zindagi, value each person in your life, love them care for them and also watch out for that special person who will hold your hand along your way.. towards your dreams.

Zindagi ki manzile.. Kuch sapne jinhe hum taraashte hai, Har mod par, rasto par unhe saamne dekhne ki chaah hum rakhte hai, Saathi jo milte hai unke saath apne sapne baant lete hai, Kabhi khushi kabhi gham kaa saamna karte huye, Kuch hasi ke, kuch aasono ke pal sajate huye, Kisi ka haath thaame hum us manzil tak pahunch jaate hai. Peeche jab mudkar dekhe, to un raasto par nazar daalte hai, Jinpar, yu safar hamne kaat diya, Kya kya hamne kho diya kya kya hamne paa liya, Yaad kinhi ki aati hai to saath me muskaan bhi saathi ke sang, Kyunki yaadein dil me jo hai, woh dikhati hai indradhanush ke saare rang, Kahaan jaana hai, kitni door hai, nahi maloom yeh mujhko, Pata bas itna mujhe hai, Har raaste ko, har raah ko ek yaadgaar banana hai, Jo bhi saathi is zindagi me mile, unke dil me sada bas jaana hai..
Saanso ki dor, dil ki dhadkan kaa rishta bana liya kuch se, Naa jaane kaise mere sapno ke daaman ko apne sapno ki chah se thaam liya tumne. Woh pal nazar aata hai ab, jab raasta tumahara mera mila tha, Sochne par bhi tab yakeen naa hota ki yeh ek hi manzil tak pahuchna tha, Thehraav kayi aaye jeevan me, kai baar nadi ne rukh moda, Kai baar duriya badhi, phir bhi dil aur sapno kaa yeh bandhan naa toota, Kabhi raat ki andheri hai to kabhi subah ki ujyali, Jo saathi mere jeevan kaa, wohi meri chaandni, meri woh hi roshni..
Kabhi kuch pal ka, to kabhi kuch saalo kaa, Manzil ki aur jin jin ne saath nibhaya, Ek muskaan, ek yaad, ek kiran, ek aasha ka deep un sab ne mere dil me jagaya, Shakti mili mujhe un yaado se, un lamho ne dee taakat aage badhne ki, Apni manzil ki chaah ko, apne sapno ko duniya ki taraf badhne ki. Saath tumhara jab mila, to ek ehsaas dil me jaagne laga, Jaane kyu ab in raasto par tumhare saath chalte huye, Jeevan sampoorn lagne laga. Har pal ko, har us samaa ko, ab dil me gaanth kar aage mujhe badhna hai, Muskaan har kisi ke dil ko de, manzil tak mujhe pahuchna hai. Manzil hi nahi jeevan mera, yeh raaste bhi mere jeevan ki pal hai, Isliye har waqt aur lamhe jo in raasto par hai, unhe yaadgaar banana hai. Ishwar se dua karta hoon, Ki sachai, achai aur pyaar woh mere mann me bhar de, Kyunki sabko khusi deni hai, dil me sabke mujhe rehna hai, Mujhe apni manzil tak pahuchna hai, Mujhe apni manzil tak pahuchna hai..!!

Realise this…..
..that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weak and most susceptible
..that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need someone to protect them
..that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds
..that it's easier to say what you feel in writing than saying it to someone in the face, but that it has more value when you say it to their face!
..that if you ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted
..that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really knew, you'd be surprised by what you could do!!
..that the three most difficult things to say are: • I love you. • I’m sorry. • Help me So listen out for them through people’s hearts and in their eyes, and don’t wait for them to say it!
There are many such things that we know from our hearts but tend to forget..as one of my friends Richa once put it..Be nice to everyone you meet cause they are fighting a battle you know nothing about..!! so remember to give everyone a chance.. there is more to things than just black and white..so remember that even in the worst of circumstances, forgive and forget..this will not only give you an amazing sense of satisfaction and broaden your heart but also help the other person to realise his/her mistake and try their best to redeem themselves in your eyes. A child murderer in Brazil, adopted 3 kids from orphanage to trying to find his way of asking forgiveness from to God. When someone deeply regrets their misdoing, which most often was done in a confused state of mind..without thinking twice of the consequences, remember our forgiveness can prove as a great source of strength to people. As much as you can, please..please try and give everyone a chance.

My aim is to write stuff that cheer people up from any kind of bad mood they may be in. Cheering up, i think, many a times comes from within. Ofcourse, the medium might be someone trying to cheer us up, but basically what that person is trying to do is to make us realise something that we already know of, but in the light(or darkness) of that moment or in that state of sadness have forgotten about it and embedded it somewhere deep in our hearts. I dont know all the people in the world, and those i know i try my best to cheer them up. So through this blog, if i manage to reach people's hearts, bring them a smile, then i would consider myself successful. Life is short and none of us know which moment might be our last, and you dont wanna depart thinking that the last few minutes were wasted away in meaningless anger or sadness. You wna go with a smile and with the satisfaction that you were able to fulfill most, if not all, your aims AND most importantly you were able to tell people you care about, just how much you love them. Hence the reason i've written so much. I'll try to touch on as many subjects as i can, and in the process would love to expand myself by hearing from you guys and making friends along the way.
I would love it if people visiting the site would leave me some notes, what i can improve upon, what i should write about, any questions about something, or even a friendly discussion..i would love that! Like i said i would love to make friends along the way as well, cause good friends is something i miss and long for. So would love it if some of you left your email addresses for future contacts.
